Following the leadership crises currently rocking the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on
Saturday, said the party has gone into comatose.
Speaking at his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, after a
closed door meeting with embattled factional Chairman of PDP,
Sen Ali Modu Sheriff, Obasanjo said the party had lost its soul.
Obasanjo, who presided over the affairs of the party for eight
years said, “And, as they all want to say now, ‘well, you were once
the father of PDP’, I was once the leader, for eight years. I was the
leader of PDP but the PDP that I was the leader of is not the PDP of
today.
